Homeschooling and Working from Home: How to Keep your Sanity
“They never leave!” I bemoaned to my friend. It’s true- while I LOVE our life of homeschooling and working at home, we are ALWAYS together. It can be a wonderful life and also challenging at times. In this presentation, get practical advice for never running out of toilet paper, saving money on meals at home, assigning chores based on ages, and generally keeping your sanity so you can be a blessing to your kids and spouse! We’ll discuss organization strategies and several attendees will get a copy of Jen’s book, “Happy Kids, Growing Biz.” We’ll discuss personality types and how to best succeed with Type A and Type B personalities– as well as when they marry each other!
3. Homeschooling Creative Kids: When They Would Rather Hang Upside Down than Sit at the Kitchen Table
If you have creative kids, you know that teaching the tried and true way isn’t going to work. You have to come up with new strategies. In this session, we’ll touch on dyslexia, dysgraphia, autism, and dyscalculia and how to homeschool when your kids don’t fit into the worksheet box of learning. (Psst– it’s more fun when you learn out of the box!) Learn how to understand your child’s learning style and how to make homeschooling work for them– and you!
Homeschooling: How to Start
Help! I’m homeschooling! How do I plan my day? How do I give everyone enough attention? And how on earth do I keep the house clean too?? In this workshop, we’ll cover the basics: how to start legally, how to structure your day, how to rise above the chaos, and how to manage the baby and toddler in the midst of it all.
5. Homeschooling High School when your Child is Neurodivergent
High school looks different with neurodivergenct. Learn how to choose a “major” in high school and use these four years not to prepare for college, but for life. You’ll learn how to use your child’s strengths to create the building blocks for their future (whether college bound or not). Tips on regulation and mental health, a sample transcript download, and advice on high school level courses for the kid who learns a little differently.
